“With the trading of (Kyle) Beach and (Mike) Alexander, will we have a new alternate captain, considering Beach was an alternate? If so any idea who it would be?”
Good question Kenny. I don’t think a team is obligated to have three alternates — with Beach gone that leaves Zack Dailey (captain) along with Taylor Ellington and Graham Potuer (alternates) as Everett’s captaincy. But Everett has historically maxed out its captains, including that season when the Tips had five alternates, with some designated for home games and some for road games. So even though I haven’t asked anyone about it yet, I suspect we’ll be seeing someone with a new “A” on their jersey eventually.
If I had to guess, I’d say that Shayne Brown might have that letter once he gets back into the lineup, but there’s other good candidates as well. Who would you like to see given an “A” for the remainder of the season?
