Look for a full-page poster of Ken Griffey Jr. in Thursday’s print edition of The Daily Herald, or download and print out a PDF version linked here.
Griffey, 46, on Wednesday was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Coopertown, New York. He was in his first year of eligibility in balloting by members of the Baseball Writers’ Association of America.
Griffey is the first player elected to the Hall of Fame in recognition largely for achievements while playing for the Seattle Mariners. He spent 13 of his 22 big-league seasons with the club. Former Mariners ace Randy Johnson was elected last year, but his Hall of Fame plaque depicts him in an Arizona Diamondbacks cap.
