The Edmonds-Woodway boys basketball team is holding a fund-raiser for point guard Jordan Rice and his brother during Tuesday night’s non-conference game against Arlington.
Rice, a junior, lost his father to a heart attack on Christmas Eve. The Warriors hope to “Fill the Stands” for the game, which features two of the top teams in the area. There will be a collection at halftime.
Jordan’s older brother, Brad, a student at Shoreline Community College, also played basketball for the Warriors.
A GoFundMe account has been set up for the Rice brothers, who lost their mother six years ago. As of Monday evening, the account had surpassed $52,000.
