Wednesday’s home game against Seattle marks the beginning of Everett’s busiest stretch of the season. The Tips play 15 games in 25 days, meaning little rest for the weary. Here’s a quick breakdown of the next four weeks:
– Four-game weeks: 3
– Three-game weeks: 1
– Three-in-threes: 2
– Home games: 7
– Away games: 8
– Versus U.S. Division: 9
– Versus B.C. Division: 6
– Most common opponent: Spokane (four times)
– Opponents with winning records: 9
– Opponents with losing records: 6
– Combined record of opponents: 281-220-18-29 (.556)
The only Western Conference team Everett doesn’t play during this stretch is Victoria.
The good news for the Tips is that they’re just about back to full health heading into this stretch, and soon Everett should have everyone available. Forwards Manraj Hayer (leg) and Zach McPhee (knee) are both on the cusp of returning and are considered game-time decisions for Wednesday’s game. Goaltender Austin Lotz is expected back Thursday from the U-17 World Hockey Challenge, while defenseman Ryan Murray and winger Vladimir Dolnik should be back from the World Junior Hockey Championships sometime next week. With 29 players currently on a crowded roster, the Tips shouldn’t have to worry about wearing down under the heavy load.
