Glacier Peak hires boys soccer coach

Daghan Kesim has been hired to be Glacier Peak High School’s first head boys soccer coach.

Kesim’s hiring was announced today by Snohomish School District athletic director Mark Albertine. Kesim had been Cascade High’s head boys soccer team the past four seasons. He is also Lynnwood High’s head girls soccer coach.

Glacier Peak is a new school that opens this fall. It will be a Class 3A school and won’t have seniors its first year.

“It’s exciting. It’s really a big new challenge but I’m always up for a challenge,” said Kesim.

Albertine announced three other coach hires today:

  • Brannon Jackson, Glacier Peak track and field
  • Matt King, Glacier Peak girls tennis
  • Ken Roberts, Snohomish girls golf
