HILLSBORO, Ore. — Dariel Gomez hit two home runs and the Everett AquaSox pounded out 13 hits on their way to a 7-1 victory over the Hillsboro Hops on Tuesday at Ron Tonkin Field.
Gomez smacked a two-run home run in the top of the first inning and added a solo shot in the fifth. Andy Thomas added a solo homer and an RBI double. Thomas and Gomez had three hits.
Spencer Packard added an RBI single for the AquaSox (22-29).
Everett Starter Prelander Berroa struck out four and allowed three hits and two walks over four innings. Leon Hunter (4-1) struck out three in two scoreless innings to earn the win.
Adrian Del Castillo hit a solo homer in the sixth for the Hops (26-24).
Hillsboro starter Scott Randall (2-2) allowed four runs on eight hits and one walk.
