When Oregon has lost this season, it’s because it has hurt itself with turnovers. If that’s the case, the last few minutes are a good sign for Washington, as Oregon quarterback Dennis Dixon threw a ball right to C.J. Wallace, and the Huskies actually got an interception from a defensive back. Even more encouraging was that Washington moved the ball. Carl Bonnell looks pretty good, poised and confident. But the UW can’t win this game without running the ball better. They can’t keep getting 2-yard carries. It was nice to see them go for it on fourth-and-short though. This is a huge series. If Washington can hold Oregon again and get the ball back, it could build some momentum.
Incidentally, C.J. Wallace is playing terrific.
