Granite Falls High School has cancelled its boys soccer season due to low participation numbers.
The Tigers had just eight or nine students turn out for the program this season, according to athletic director Joey Johnson.
“We tried to get more out but it didn’t happen,” Johnson said. “So we had to put an end to it.”
The program didn’t field a junior varsity team last season and graduated 12 players in 2018.
Johnson said the team plans to resume play next spring.
