The second half couldn’t have started any better for Washington. Dennis Dixon continues to take silly chances and Washington is making him pay. The Huskies aren’t doing anything particularly great from the secondary but Dixon is throwing some bad passes and to Washington’s credit, they are catching them (sort of). And good to see the UW take advantage of it with a touchdown, that was huge.
Here’s some halftime stats, which show how amazing it is that the UW is in it:
First downs are 15-5 in Oregon’s favor. Oregon has 170 rushing yards on 25 carries, Washington has 29 on 15.
Total offense is 225-83. Carl Bonnell is 7-for-19 for 54 yards, but remember there were several drops. Really, the story so far is the Oregon turnovers.
