MONROE – With four races to go, Shane Harding is closing in on winning his first Super Stocks points title and coming out on top in a spirited rivalry with Jason Fraser.

Harding, from Langley, British Columbia, will try to move one step closer when the Super Stocks headline a seven-division card at Evergreen Speedway tonight.

Harding won for the seventh time last week and now leads Fraser by 16 points. Fraser still has no wins this season but is the only driver to finish in the top 10 in all 13 races this year. Gaylon Stewart is third in the points race.

The Bombers race is tight, with Travis Blackwood holding an eight-point lead over defending champion Naima Lang. Darin Stordahl and Steve McElroy are tied for third, 31 points behind Blackwood.

Jamie Richardson appears to be in solid position to win his first Mini-Stock title, leading Tony Bunkleman by 23 points.

Steve Baumgartner took over the Stinger 8 lead and leads Greg Estes by 13 points in the first year of the division. Craig Jantz is third, 29 points out.

Steve Peters holds a commanding 61-point lead over John Carlson in the Super Figure 8 division while Josh Beckel has a 77-point advantage over Noah Chandler in the Extreme Contact Figure 8 race.

Gates open at 4 p.m. today and racing starts at 7 p.m.
