RENTON — Seattle Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck will miss at least one more game, coach Mike Holmgren said Monday afternoon.
A visit with a medical specialist in Los Angeles showed that Hasselbeck’s back problems were the source of his leg discomfort. He missed Sunday’s game against Green Bay because of a sore knee, and Holmgren said the back problems will keep him out of Sunday’s game at Tampa Bay.
“When you have a (quarterback like) Hasselbeck, sometimes he can carry the load on his shoulders,” Holmgren said. “When you don’t have that, it becomes a little more difficult.”
Seneca Wallace could start Sunday’s game, but his calf problems might mean a second consecutive start for third stringer Charlie Frye.
The Seahawks (1-4) face Tampa Bay on Sunday night.
