Kindopp’s overtime goal lifts Silvertips past Spokane

He scores twice in the Silvertips’ 4-3 win over the Chiefs.

SPOKANE — Bryce Kindopp scored in overtime to lift the Everett Silvertips to a 4-3 victory over Spokane in Western Hockey League action Sunday at Veterans Memorial Arena.

Kindopp had given Everett a 3-2 lead with a power-play goal at the 5:51 mark of the third period, but Spokane responded 17 seconds later with a goal by Eli Zummack.

The two goals lifted Kindopp’s team-leading total to 13 this season.

Jalen Price and Michal Gut also scored for Everett, which won its second straight game. Price’s goal, which opened the scoring at the 7:10 mark in the first period, was his first of the season.

After Price’s goal, Spokane tallied twice — on goals by Adam Beckman and Michael King — to take a 2-1 advantage into the second period.

Gut tied the game 2-2 in the second period with his fourth goal of the season. It came on the power play at the 15:10 mark.

Everett was 2-for-2 on the power play in the game.

Dustin Wolf earned the win in goal for the Silvertips. He made 37 saves as Spokane out-shot Everett 40-25.

The Silvertips’ next game is a return to Spokane on Friday. The faceoff is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
