EVERETT — Adrian Del Castillo hit a go-ahead, three-run double in the top of the seventh inning as the Hillsboro Hops rallied for a 4-2 win over the Everett AquaSox on Friday afternoon at Funko Field.
After four scoreless innings, Dariel Gomez hit a solo home run in the fifth and James Parker hit a solo home run in the sixth as the AquaSox took a 2-0 lead.
But Del Castillo’s bases-clearing double sparked a four-run seventh inning and Hillsboro held on for the win.
Jordan Jackson started on the mound for Everett (58-71) and allowed no runs on just three hits in six strong innings. Jackson struck out four and walked three.
Del Castillo finished 2-for-4 and Yilber Diaz struck out seven on four innings pitched for Hillsboro (59-69).
The two teams meet again on Saturday in the second-to-last game of the season. First pitch is scheduled for 6:05 p.m.
