EVERETT — Ryan Hofer had a hat trick and the Everett Silvertips closed their three-game weekend with a 6-3 victory over the Tri-City Americans.
Hofer opened the scoring at the 5:51 mark of the fist period and put the Silvertips (26-7-2-2, 56 points) up 4-1 with a power-play goal 14:18 into the second. His third goal came at the 15:04 mark of the third.
Hunter Campbell, Jacob Wright and Ty Gibson each added goals for Everett. Johny Lambos and Niko Huuhtanen chipped in two assists apiece.
Braden Holt stopped 30 of 33 shots in a winning effort in front of the net.
Connor Bouchard, Ethan Ernst and Tyson Greenway each scored a goal for Tri-City (11-18-4-0, 26).
Tomas Suchanek recorded 35 saves on 41 attempts for the Americans.
