A few of the non-football high school sports events to keep an eye on this week as the fall postseason hits full swing:
Girls soccer: 3A Northwest District semifinals, 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Shoreline Stadium. No. 2 seed Edmonds-Woodway faces No. 3 seed Marysville Getchell in the first semifinal, followed by No. 1 seed Snohomish against No. 5 seed Ferndale in the second semifinal. The winners clinch state berths and advance to Saturday’s district final.
Girls soccer: 4A Wes-King Bi-District semifinal, Eastlake at Glacier Peak, 7 p.m. Tuesday. Wesco 4A champion Glacier Peak faces KingCo 4A No. 2 seed Eastlake, with the winner clinching a state berth and advancing to Thursday’s bi-district final. The Grizzlies are seeking their first state berth since 2010.
Girls soccer: 4A Wes-King Bi-District semifinal, Lake Stevens vs. Inglemoor, 7 p.m. Tuesday at Pop Keeney Stadium (Bothell). Wesco 4A No. 2 seed Lake Stevens faces KingCo 4A champion Inglemoor, with the winner clinching a state berth and advancing to Thursday’s bi-district final. The Vikings are seeking their fourth state berth in five seasons.
Cross country: State championships, 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Sun Willows Golf Course (Pasco). A slew of local boys and girls runners and teams are headed to the Tri-Cities to compete for state titles, podium spots and team trophies.
Girls swim and dive: 4A and 3A Northwest District championships, 10 a.m. Saturday at Snohomish Aquatic Center. Local swimmers and divers square off for district supremacy ahead of next week’s state meet. The 4A district finals begin at 10 a.m. and the 3A district finals start at 4 p.m.
Volleyball: 4A Wes-King Bi-District Tournament, 1 p.m. Saturday at various sites. The 12-team double-elimination tournament consisting of Wesco 4A and KingCo 4A teams begins with first-round matches at 1 p.m., followed by quarterfinal matches at 3 p.m.
