Just a few of the many prep sports events to watch this week as postseason play hits full swing:
Baseball: 3A Northwest District semifinals, Tuesday at Funko Field at Everett Memorial Stadium. Undefeated Arlington faces Shorewood at 3:30 p.m., followed by Edmonds-Woodway against Everett at 6 p.m. The winners clinch state berths and advance to Saturday’s district title game. Everett is seeking its first state berth since 1995.
Baseball: 4A Wes-King Bi-District semifinals, Tuesday at Bannerwood Park (Bellevue). Wesco 4A champion Cascade faces Inglemoor at 4 p.m., followed by Monroe against KingCo 4A champion Skyline at 7 p.m. The winners clinch state berths and advance to Saturday’s bi-district title game. Monroe is seeking its first state berth since 1996.
Soccer: 3A Northwest District semifinals, Tuesday at Shoreline Stadium. Meadowdale faces rival Edmonds-Woodway at 6 p.m., followed by top-seeded Marysville Pilchuck against Shorecrest at 8 p.m. The winners clinch state berths and advance to Saturday’s district title match.
Soccer: 4A Wes-King Bi-District semifinals, Tuesday. Wesco 4A champion Jackson faces Eastlake at 7:30 p.m. at Everett Memorial Stadium. KingCo 4A champion Mount Si hosts Mariner at 7 p.m. The winners clinch state berths and advance to Thursday’s bi-district title match.
Softball: Lake Stevens at Glacier Peak, 5:15 p.m. Tuesday. This regular-season finale determines the Wesco 4A title. Glacier Peak claims the outright league crown with a win. If Lake Stevens wins, it’ll be a three-way split title between the Vikings, Glacier Peak and Jackson.
Softball: 4A Wes-King Bi-District Tournament, Friday at Phil Johnson Ballfields (Everett). The bi-district tournament between Wesco and KingCo teams begins with opening-round games at 5 p.m., followed by quarterfinal matchups at 7 p.m.
