The game times for the first two days of the 2018 College World Series were announced Monday night, and the Washington Huskies (35-24) play Mississippi State (37-27) in an opening-round game at 5 p.m. Saturday.
The contest will be televised by ESPN.
Washington is making its first-ever trip to the College World Series after beating Cal State Fullerton 6-5 in 10 innings Sunday.
The Huskies (35-24) will face either Oregon State (49-10-1) or North Carolina (43-18) on Monday. The Beavers and Tar Heels kick off the 72nd College World Series at noon Saturday.
If the Huskies win their opener, they’ll play the winner of the OSU-North Carolina game at 4 p.m. Monday. If they lose, they’ll play the OSU-North Carolina loser at 11 a.m. Monday.
Sunday features four more first-round games: Arkansas (44-19) vs. Texas (42-21) at 11 a.m., and top-seeded Florida (48-19) against Texas Tech at 4 p.m.
