SEATTLE — University of Washington running back Chris Polk, who last fall was the program’s first freshman to rush for 1,000 yards in a season, has undergone shoulder surgery and is likely to sit out spring practices.
Head coach Steve Sarkisian made that announcement Friday. Sarkisian also said that the status of injured cornerback Justin Glenn, defensive end Kalani Aldrich and offensive linemen Gregory Christine and Skyler Fancher might put them in jeopardy of missing the spring.
The Huskies also announced that two players — linebacker Kurt Mangum and wide receiver Vince Taylor — have opted to transfer.
