The Huskies are practicing inside of Dempsy Indoor this afternoon thanks to the heavy winds that are blowing in Seattle (and are rumored to have knocked the power out in my neighborhood).
Not a lot of news came out of our meeting with Tyrone Willingham this afternoon. The biggest thing is that the Huskies may be without right tackle Chad Macklin, whose grandfather passes away this week. Macklin is home with family right now, and it is unknown if he’ll be back for Saturday’s game. If Macklin is out this week, look for Cody Habben, who has been splitting time at left tackle, to move to right tackle.
Also, Willingham said that safety Jason Wells, who is out for the year, will not have knee surgery until next week. There was a possibility that the surgery would happen today, but doctors are waiting so he can gain more strength and flexibility before they operate.
