Here at Husky Stadium, though many of you be more interested in tonight’s 8 p.m. basketball opener in Portland and the debut of freshman guard Isaiah Thomas. For those interested, you can listen on 1150 AM or watch if you get Comcast Sports Net.
Back to tonight’s football game, which I actually think the Huskies have a shot to win. The game itself doesn’t offer a lot of intrigue given that it’s a bad team (UCLA) playing a really bad team (UW), but at least the side show should be fun. In case you haven’t heard (ha), Rick Neuheisel returns to Husky Stadium tonight. So far, at least, it doesn’t look like his return will be enough to draw a big crowd, as this place is about half full right now for the second Saturday in a row.
This is also the final game at Husky Stadium for both Washington’s seniors and their coach, Tyrone Willingham, who I’m making a seven-point favorite over Neuheisel to win the “least popular coach currently at Husky Stadium award.”
