Around the WHL: Everett held steady at No. 8 in the most recent Western Major Junior Hockey Writers Association poll. After losing one first-place vote last week, Kelowna was a unanimous No. 1 pick this week. Medicine Hat and Prince Albert each moved up one position to second and third, respectively. … Lethbridge goalie Logan Koopmans was named the WHL Player of the Week for Feb. 2-8. Koopmans won three straight games last week, surrendering just two goals. … Chris Falloon became the all-time leading scorer in Prince George history. Falloon’s assist Sunday against Seattle gave him 222 points, breaking the record of 221 held by Blake Robson.
