SPOKANE — The Spokane Indians posted an eight-run fifth inning and snapped the Everett AquaSox’s six-game win streak with a 17-8 slugfest win on Thursday night at Avista Stadium.

Everett’s Jonatan Clase went 3-for-5 with a double and two home runs, giving him a team-leading six on the season, and Harry Ford added a two-run shot, his third of the year.

Randy Bednar hit his first home run of the season, and Blake Rambusch, Ben Ramirez and Tyler Locklear all added doubles for the AquaSox.

Reid Morgan started for Everett (10-7) but struggled mightily. Morgan allowed nine runs, eight earned, on 12 hits in four innings. Tyler Driver fared no better in relief as he allowed eight runs on six hits while only recording a single out.

Kelvin Nunez righted the ship for the bullpen with 2.2 scoreless innings and catcher Charlie Welch added a scoreless frame in the eighth for the AquaSox.

Zach Kokoska, Nic Kent, Sterlin Thompson and Jordan Beck all homered on the big offensive night for Spokane (7-8).
