SPOKANE — Hans Crouse pitched five scoreless innings, leading the Spokane Indians over the Everett AquaSox 5-2 on Wednesday.
Crouse (1-0) picked up the win after he struck out six and walked two. He allowed just two hits in handing Everett (7-6) its third straight defeat.
Spokane took the lead in the first when it put up three runs, including solo home runs by Diosbel Arias and Curtis Terry.
The AquaSox cut into the deficit in the sixth inning when Ryan Garcia hit an RBI double, scoring Josh Stowers.
The Indians later tacked on a run in both the seventh and eighth innings. In the seventh, Obie Ricumstrict hit a solo home run and Cristian Inoa scored on a wild pitch in the eighth.
Orlando Razo (0-1) went six innings, allowing three runs and seven hits while striking out four in the Northwest League game.
For the AquaSox, Stowers singled twice and stole a base.
