Just got word that both Leland Irving and Taylor Ellington are being sent back to Everett and will be here tomorrow. I’ll post more, including whether they’re likely to be in the lineup Friday, after practice.

OK, just got back from practice. Here’s the scoop with Irving and Ellington.
Ellington drove back from Vancouver this afternoon, got back during practice and got onto the ice just before practice ended. He looked ready to go. Irving isn’t due back in town until later tonight. Head coach John Becanic said both will be put right into the lineup tomorrow.
Their additions change Everett’s outlook for the opener considerably. Irving’s presence alone could be decisive, and the defense looks a lot more secure now that there will be just two rookie d-men in the lineup instead of three.
With Peter Mueller not expected back, the Tips are now just waiting on Zach Hamill, Ondrej Fiala and Dane Crowley. News of their fates should be forthcoming by early next week.
