EVERETT — The hits keep coming for Julio Rodriguez.
More specifically, the home runs.
The 20-year-old phenom homered for the third straight game and the Everett AquaSox beat the Tri-City Dust Devils 6-2 on Saturday night for their seventh win in a row.
Rodriguez’s solo shot in the bottom of the fifth inning broke a scoreless tie and the AquaSox piled on five more runs in the bottom of the sixth en route to the victory.
Connor Hoover hit his third home run of the season and drove in two runs, and Zach DeLoach, Jack Larsen, Tyler Keenan and Cody Grosse all had doubles for Everett (9-2).
Brandon Williamson, the Seattle Mariners’ second-round pick in 2019, started for the AquaSox and struck out eight over four scoreless innings. The 6-foot-6 left-hander walked four but allowed only one hit.
Francisco Del Valle had two doubles for Tri-City (3-8).
