LYNNWOOD – Jackson beat Lynnwood 2-1 Thursday in a Western Conference South Division game at Edmonds Stadium. The victory came with one minute left in the second overtime period and gave Jackson a share of first place in the division and a district playoff berth.
Dani Oster scored in the 89th minute off an assist by Kaley Mitchell to win the contest for the Timberwolves (7-1 in league, 12-3 overall).
“It’s really exciting because last year (Jackson) won three games total,” first-year Jackson coach Michael Bartley said. “The turnaround, now having the chance to be co-champs is incredible.”

Pernkey, normally an outside player, moved inside to compensate for a Jackson center who left for Arizona on a college visitation earlier this week.
“Tonight’s game was all about heart and desire, and they just kept fighting,” Bartley said. “That’s what it was all about.”
