Jackson captures district playoff berth

MILL CREEK – Pitchers Morgan Frost and Dani Jackman combined on a two hitter for the Jackson Timberwolves as they beat Mariner 11-0 Thursday in a five-inning Wesco South softball game.

The victory, combined with Edmonds-Woodway’s loss to Shorecrest, assured Jackson of a 4A District 1 playoff berth.

“I didn’t expect it this soon,” Jackson coach Mike Moran said. “But that was our goal, to make it to district and compete from there.”

Carly McEachran batted 2-for-3 with two doubles and an RBI and Taryn Pierce batted 2-for-3 with two RBI for Jackson.
