Jackson jumps on E-W errors

LYNNWOOD – Edmonds-Woodway and Jackson were neck-and-neck until late in the game, but things unraveled for the Warriors when they started making errors in the fifth inning and dropped a 7-0 Wesco South decision on Thursday night.

The Timberwolves gained momentum in the fifth when two Edmonds-Woodway errors put runners on base and laid the groundwork for a two-RBI hit for Megan Frowse.

“Teams that make the first error typically lose the game,” Warriors head coach Chris Paulson said.

Jackson gained the lead at that point and never looked back, scoring numerous runs in each of the subsequent innings as the Warriors recorded only errors.

Lauren Reid struck out five batters for the Timberwolves and allowed no hits.
