Jackson ousts Everett

MARYSVILLE – Jackson went hard to the boards to survive a 4A District 1 loser-out consolation game Saturday at Marysville-Pilchuck High School.

The Timberwolves eliminated Everett 58-43 and will play Monroe in another loser-out contest at 6 p.m. Wednesday at M-P.

“We really crashed the offensive rebounds and got a lot of second chances,” Jackson coach Jeannie Thompson said.

Sam McCracken led the Timberwolves with 15 rebounds. She also led them in scoring with 23 points, including 12 of Jackson’s 18 points in the second quarter when the Timberwolves pulled away from a first-quarter tie.

“She got most of those off the offensive glass,” Thompson said.
