Jackson remains unbeaten

SHORELINE — Jackson remained undefeated in the Wesco South with a 4-3 decision over Shorewood Monday morning in spring break girls tennis action.

The victory pulls the Timberwolves (6-0) into a first-place tie with Edmonds-Woodway (also 6-0) and dropped Shorewood (4-1) from the ranks of the unbeaten.

Shorewood’s Anna Chatilo came back after losing the first set to capture the next two to defeat Jackson’s Linda Cung 2-6, 6-2, 6-0 at No. 1 singles.

Jackson’s Jennifer Wilson and Rosana Tran captured the next two singles matches before Shorewood’s Stephanie Lim evened the meet with her victory at No. 4 singles.

The Timberwolves took two of three doubles matches to win the meet.

Mariner 4, Mountlake Terrace 3: At Mountlake Terrace, Mariner’s Brittany Ruscha won her No. 3 singles match 6-0, 6-0 and Mariner swept the three doubles matches to defeat Mountlake Terrace and pick up its first Wesco South victory of the season.
