Here is one man’s (likely incorrect) guess at how the playoffs will shake out. At this time last year I correctly predicted a Seahawks Super Bowl victory over the Broncos, which I bring up not to brag, but rather to point out that I likely used up all my prediction luck last year, so don’t put a lot of stock in what you read below. Overall seed in parenthesis.

NFC West—Seattle (1)

NFC North—Green Bay (3)

NFC South—New Orleans (2)

NFC East—Philadelphia (4)

Wild Cards—San Francisco (5), Atlanta (6)

Wild Card round—49ers over Eagles, Packers over Falcons

Divisional round—Seahawks over 49ers, Packers over Saints

NFC Championship—Seahawks over Packers

AFC West—Denver (1)

AFC North—Cincinnati (4)

AFC South—Indianapolis (2)

AFC East—New England (3)

Wild Cards—Baltimore (5), San Diego (6)

Wild Card round—Patriots over Chargers; Bengals over Ravens

Divisional round—Bengals over Broncos; Colts over Patriots

AFC Championship—Colts over Bengals

Super Bowl—Seahawks over Colts. History says the Seahawks won’t repeat — nobody has done it in a decade — but a loaded roster says they’re still the best team in the NFL.
