A school spokesman just informed us that center Juan Garcia had to be carted off from practice moments ago after suffering an undisclosed injury to his left leg.
The injury happened on a goal-line play on which Garcia ended up at the bottom of a pile. Practice was stopped and Garcia was down for about 10 minutes before trainers put an air cast on his leg and took him away on a golf cart. He is being evaluated now, but we may not hear anything more today. Obviously if we do hear anything I’ll check back in here.
Garcia missed the 2004 season after suffering a dislocated ankle and a broken fibula on his left leg in the spring of 2004.
