Kamiak rebounds to beat Jackson

EVERETT – The Kamiak Knights got their season back on track, using a bruising ground game to beat Jackson 33-21 in a Wesco South match-up at Goddard Stadium Friday night

“Our kids responded very well”, said Kamiak head coach Dan Mack in referring to last week’s close loss at the hands of Meadowdale.

“We had an outstanding week of practice and challenged our kids. We told them they needed to be more physical and they executed great.”

Senior Josh Reed led the Knights with 202 yards on 22 carries, with junior Bryson Kelly chipping in with 114 yards of his own.

“Our defense played great,” said Mack “We had a goal-line stand and almost two more. What it came down to was that we played extremely well off the line.”

Jackson quarterback Jake Gelakoska was 18-for-30, throwing for 262 yards to lead the T-Wolves offense.
