DU PONT- Everett’s Jacob Koppenberg shot a 2-under par 70 Tuesday to move into a tie for fifth after the second round of stroke-play qualifying at the Pacific Northwest Golf Association’s Men’s Amateur Championship at The Home Course.
The top 64 golfers from the first two rounds of qualifying advance to a match-play elimination.
Monroe’s Matt Epstein shot a 1-over par 73 and Everett’s Brian Barhanovich shot a 3-over 75. Both golfers finished in a tie for 55th place and advanced to the match-play portion of the tournament.
Other local competiors include Snohomish’s Kris Jackson, who shot a 3-over 75, Stanwood’s Craig Crawford, who shot a 5-over 77, Mukilteo’s Reid Martin, who shot a 5-over 77, and Mark Strickland, who shot a 14-over 86.
