Lake Stevens’ Griffen to play in all-star basketball game

Lake Stevens senior Kylee Griffen has been selected to compete in the 2018 Northwest Shootout girls basketball game onSaturday in Hillsboro, Oregon.

The annual event pits standout seniors from Washington and Oregon against each other. The girls game tips off at 4 p.m.,followed by the boys game at 6 p.m.

Griffen was one of 10 players named to the Washington girls team. The Gonzaga University signee averaged 20.9 pointsand 10.5 rebounds per game this season while leading the Vikings to the Class 4A Hardwood Classic.

King’s coach Dan Taylor is the head coach of the Washington girls squad.
