Lake Stevens wins 15 of 18 events in three-team meet

LAKE STEVENS – Lake Stevens won 15 of 18 events en route to a victory Thursday in a Western Conference girls track meet at Lake Stevens.

The Vikings, who won all three relay races, piled up 113 points to 59 for Snohomish and 17 for Kamiak.

Mallory LaPlant swept the throws for the Vikings. Andrea Patterson won the high jump and triple jump. Jessica Hinton took the 100- and 200-meter dashes. And Brandi Edwards won the long jump and 100 hurdles.

Shorewood 91, Stanwood 71.6, Jackson 26.3: Kendra Monroe earned second-place Stanwood 20 points with victories in the long jump, 100-meter hurdles, 300 hurdles and the 100 dash. Lauren Sego paced Shorewood with victories in the javelin and triple jump.

Monroe Wesco meet: Kristin Statham led Cascade to the Wesco victory with wins in both the pole vault and the triple jump. Mountlake Terrace’s Nicole Berlin won the high jump and ran on the winning 400- and 1,600-meter relay teams.
