Lake Stevens wins Wesco North title

EVERETT — The Lake Stevens Vikings girls basketball claimed the Western Conference North tite in convincing fashion Wednesday night.

The Vikings cruised to a 67-25 victory at Everett High School.

Lake Stevens held Everett scoreless in the first quarter, jumping to a 17-0 lead.

“Lake Stevens is a much better team,” Everett coach Kelly McCoy said. “When you play them they will expose your team’s weakness.”

Mary Ochiltree made a game-high five 3-pointers to lead the Vikings with 22 points.
