Anderson, who finished with 10 points, nailed a pair of 3-pointers in the third quarter to ignite a 14-4 run, which allowed Lakewood to take a commanding 39-21 lead.

“This was a good win for us,” Lakewood coach Chris Walster. “It was very good for our confidence.”

Black, who scored 10 points, anchored a Cougars’ defense that surrendered just four points in the third quarter.

“We shut down their slashing style of play,” Walster said. “We forced them to score from the outside. That made them frustrated.”
