Lakewood fall sports athletes, coaches honored

ARLINGTON — Lakewood football coach Dan Teeter was named the 2017 Northwest Conference 2A coach of the year. Teeter led the Cougars to a 7-3 record this past season.

In addition, several Cougars players received all-conference recognition. Camden Burbee (offensive line), Jon Cox (wide receiver/defensive line), Austin Lane (quarterback) and Sydney Gormley (kicker) were first-team picks. C.J. McClellan (wide receiver), Spencer Neiffer (linebacker) and Ian Ware (punter) were selected to the second team.

Other Lakewood fall sports athletes to earn all-conference honors: Sidney Goodall (volleyball, second team), Jelly Perry (volleyball, second team) and Madison Howe (cross country, second team).
