Outlook: The Cougars took some lumps last fall during their inaugural season in the Northwest Conference, suffering through their first losing campaign since 2009. Lakewood returns 6-foot-4 senior quarterback Austin Lane, a third-year starter who threw for 1,982 yards last season while tossing 18 touchdowns and five interceptions. Also back is 6-foot-5 senior receiver and defensive end Jon Cox III.
