EVERETT — Connor Dewar scored a tiebreaking goal with 54 seconds left in the game for the Everett Silvertips, who went on to post a 2-1 win over the Kelowna Rockets on Saturday at Angel of the Winds Arena.
Dewar’s goal, assisted by Bryce Kindopp and Wyatte Wylie, came almost 11 minutes after Kelowna’s Kyle Topping scored to tie the game at 1-1.
Dewar opened the scoring with a goal 6 minutes, 43 seconds into the first period, assisted by Akaash Bains and Sahvan Khaira.
The goals were the 19th and 20th of the season for Dewar.
The Silvertips (18-7-1-0) outshot the Rockets 42-12.
Dustin Wolf made 11 saves for Everett.
