The NFL has suspended Seahawks linebacker one game and fined him an additional game check “violating the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse.”
Hill will miss the Seahawks Sept. 12 opener against San Francisco, then can return to the active roster for the following game. Hill pleaded guilty to a marijuana charge for a 2009 arrest in Georgia, and based off the wording from the league, this suspension is only related to that and not his pending domestic violence charge in Issaquah. Depending on what happens with that case, it is possible that Hill could face further discipline from the league.
Hill is eligible to participate in Seattle’s preseason games.
