Brandon Ala started at defensive end for Greyson Gunheim, though Gunheim came on in the nickel. Dashon Goldson started for Matt Fountaine at corner and Jordan Reffett started at tackle for Donny Mateaki. For Cal, Justin Forsett started at tailback for Marshawn Lynch.
It was a great start for the Husky defense, who got a little pressure on Nate Longshore and got a three-and-out. We’ll see how the offense does.
