A few weeks ago I wrote a story about Meadowdale High School basketball player Margreet Barhoum, one of the area’s best Class of 2012 athletes.

Barhoum is one of 10 varsity players who will return to the court for the Mavericks, who should be a contender in the incredibly tough Wesco 3A. In The Weekly Herald article, Meadowdale coach Troy Parker tells Pan, “I think this Wesco 3A girls league is the strongest league from top to bottom that I’ve ever coached in. Most teams have tremendous players coming back. I think it’s going to be a great year of basketball… I wish I could be a fan and sit back and watch.”
