Good morning. This is the first day high school football teams in Washington are allowed to practice. I’m doing a tour of the area today to see how some of our local teams look.
My first stop: Glacier Peak High School in Snohomish. I’m sitting in the bleachers at GP’s practice field, wishing the clouds would go away so I can enjoy the spectacular view here.
GP football players are starting their day with speed and strength testing. About 15 kids are on the field right now, getting instructions from a GP assistant coach. Most of the other players are indoors, doing tests in the Grizzlies weight room.
I’m going to open a CoverItLive window. Follow along here all day as I report live from Glacier Peak, as well as three or four other local schools.
