Local basketball officials name players, coaches & host schools of the year

Near the end of every high school basketball season, the Snohomish County Boys Basketball Officials Association and the Snohomish County Women’s Basketball Officials Association name their respective players, coaches and host schools of the year.

Here are the winners for the 2010-2011 season, as announced by SCBOWBO president Mike Cashman.

Snohomish County Boys Basketball Officials Association awards
*Dennis Myers Player of the Year: Zach Cooper, Arlington High School
*Norm Lowery Sr. Coach of the Year: Jamar Williams, Archbishop Murphy High School
*Host School of the Year: Grace Academy of Marysville

Snohomish County Womens Basketball Officials Association awards
*Player of the Year: Suzanna Ohlsen, Monroe High School
*Coach of the Year: Duane Hodges, Edmonds-Woodway High School
*Host School of the Year: Monroe High School

The officials associations’ players and coaches of the year will be honored at an awards dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory at 7 p.m. on March 7 in Lynnwood.
