Looking back at Sunday’s loss

First off, apologies to those of you following the game thread for its abrupt ending. Sometimes when games get out of hand like that, I’ll stop posting in the second half, but I meant to actually announce my intention to do so. Apparently I forgot to do that, so again, sorry for the lack of second-half updated (not that you missed much).

But enough about that. Before we start looking ahead at next week’s game in Arizona, let’s rehash Sunday’s loss a bit more before putting it in the rearview mirror.

You can read my game story here, which looks at the Seahawks falling pretty far in the last two weeks after playing so well to get to 4-2.

I also had a notebook looking the Seahawks injury situation, which was too much for them to overcome against a good team like New York.

Rich Myhre took a look at the struggles of QB Charlie Whitehurst in his first start. Rich also breaks down a a second straight rough game for the defense.

For a very, very thorough breakdown of the Seahawks personnel in the game, check out Brian McIntyre’s personnel review. Brian, who runs his own NFL blog, which is a great source of news does the personnel review for the Tacoma News Tribune’s blog each Monday.

For the New York perspective, check out Greg Bishop’s story in the New York Times, or this story from Hank Gola of the Daily News, which says the Giants look like a Super Bowl contender.
