Dagi Kesim resigned after three seasons as head coach of the Lynnwood High School girls soccer team.
Kesim submitted his resignation on Wednesday and shared his decision with the Royals players today, Lynnwood High athletic director Rob McMains wrote in an e-mail.
This past season Class 3A Lynnwood was 2-15 overall and 1-8 in the mostly 4A Wesco South. In 2008 the Royals went 1-15-1 (1-8 in division).
“The main reason behind his resignation was his job running a club (soccer) program,” McMains said, noting that there were time conflicts with Kesim’s club and high school coaching commitments.
Lynnwood hopes to hire a girls soccer coach in the early spring, said McMains.
