The Lynnwood Royals have a new head football coach.
Lynnwood athletic coordinator Rob McMains announced Thursday that Mike Don has been hired to replace Dorian Manza, who resigned as head coach in November after three seasons.
Don served the past two years as an assistant football coach at Woodinville High School. Prior to that he worked as an assistant at Prosser and Ellensburg high schools.
A 2001 graduate of Prosser, Don played college football at Central Washington University. He graduated from Central with a degree in physical education and works as a substitute teacher.
The Royals posted a 2-8 record last season and were 4-26 in Manza’s three seasons as head coach.
