University of Washington pitcher Nick Haughian has been named the National Player of the Week by Collegiate Baseball.
Haughian, a junior left-hander from Marysville, allowed just two hits and struck out a career-high 15 batters in the Huskies¹ 1-0 win over Arizona on Friday in front of 5,187 fans at Safeco Field, home of the Seattle Mariners.
The Huskies are 20-9 this season, 3-3 in Pac-10 play.
